April 26 - May 10, 2008 Swainsboro, Georgia USA The Pine Tree Festival and Southeast Timber Expo is held annually in Swainsboro with many events occuring at the Swainsboro Recreation Department Complex on Mcleod Bridge Road just off Highway 57 (Kite Road) on the north side of Swainsboro. Events include beauty pageants, parade (May 10) through downtown, arts and crafts, 5K Knotty Pine Road Race (registration and ending at the Boneyard in downtown), Flower Show, concerts, entertainment, carnival, Pine Tree Sitter(s) some years, and more. Come join us in Swainsboro for the Pine Tree Festival and Southeast Timber Expo in early May each year. The Swainsboro Kiwanis had sponsored this community event for over 60 years. It is now run by a community foundation The Pinetree Breeze Bicycle Ride will be held on April 26. There will be bike rides of all lengths, from 25 miles to 100 miles. The Knotty Pine 5K Run will be held at 8AM on May 10 starting at Harmon Park and ending at the Boneyard. Registration will be at the Boneyard.
